ABOUT YAASHIKA : YAASHIKA  is a non-government organization registered as a Public Charitable Trust in Mumbai, State-Maharashtra, India. The word YAASHIKA  means, “glory, success…”. Yaashika’s one-stop, integrated services reach over 8,000 individuals in Maharashtra, Hyderabad, and Rajasthan. Since 2017, Yaashika has facilitated a participatory process that improves the quality of life for the rural poor. Yaashika caters to the multiple needs of the poor by providing them Food, Clothes, Health, Education, Employment courses, etc.

Yaashika Charity Society was established on June 5th, 2017 by our President and Founding father Adv. Prakash Purohit accompanied by the Society Secretary, Mr. Pravin Somvanshi and the Treasurer Mr. Vijay Singh.

YAASHIKA ’S JOURNEY:-

Our journey of 04 years is incomplete without our donors, volunteers, and supporters and we are still shaping synergies for better livelihood of needy people who cannot afford their basic needs of bread and butter, their children’s educational expenses as well as medical expenses. Team Yaashika is continuously working for the betterment of rural and remote areas of Aadiwasi people, we are trying to at least solve their foods and cloths requirements, teaching job oriented courses to orphan children so that they can thrive and become self-sufficient.

DREAM PROJECT:-

to start a set-up in a rural village (Rajasthan) of traditional handicraft/hand embroidery work for the unemployed women, widows, young girls of our other local villages by giving them skill training and job so that they can earn, though in a veiled world and start dreaming big for their livelihood by standing on their own.

Some of our Initiatives in #Mumbai, #Hyderabad and #Rajasthan are listed below:

  1. Providing 365 days Free Tiffin Seva to needy Seiner Citizens in Rajasthan (Village – Dayalana, Dist.-Pali).

  2. Distributing Foods, Fruits, Biscuits, wafers, Cakes-Sweets, Medicines, Books, Stationery & Cloths in Orphanages.

  3. Distributing Foods, Vegetables and Grocery packets to needy people during pandemic or flood or any emergency conditions.

  4. Arranging big budget food events in remote areas for thousands of needy aadiwasi people with distributing them cloths, vessels, etc.

  5. Giving seva in big blind people events and also donating them home articles, etc.

  6. Teaching job oriented Courses to Orphan children so that they can be independent and earn.

  7. To adopt orphan children's monthly expenses of school fees and his/her other basic expenses.

  8. Helping people free of cost legal proceedings for adoptions of a child.

  9. Helping Cancer Patients Medically/Financially.

  10. Conducting Blood Donation Camps and creating awareness among the people.

  11. To arrange/ provide financial help to the poor/needy children for their basic education as well as higher degree education.

  12. To render medical help to poor/needy people who cannot afford medical expenses.

  13. To prevent exploitation like child labor, sexual harassment, etc.

  14. To create a reformation center for exploited children and put them in a healthy environment.

  15. Raising voice against early child marriage in remote areas and taking appropriate legal actions against culprits.

  16. Cow Donation (Gau-Dan).

  17. Giving Free or /on Rent Wheel Chair, Walker and Air bed.

21)    19-01-20: Honoured by “Basic Swadhyay Group, Dadar.” for rendering our services in #Mumbai, #Hyderabad, and #Rajasthan.

22)    28-03-20: Team Yaashika #Rajasthan was honored by Dayalana Kala-Village’s Sarpanch and Wardpanchs for  365 days Free Tiffin Seva to needy senior citizens as well as during Pandemic (COVID-19) lockdown situation in the entire country we served free tiffin Seva to all the emergency workers of our village and other needy citizens who lost their income.

23)    05-04-20: For this small contribution of Team #Rajasthan our news story was covered by a local news channel and it was broadcasted.

24)    06-04-20: news article was published in “Dainik Jagran” (Dist.-Pali, Rajasthan)Hindi newspaper for Free Tiffin Seva during Pandemic(COVID-19) lockdown situation in the entire country.

History- this is just the beginning...

 

2017:- NGO’s Registration, legal formalities, and development.

  • 05-06-2017 - YAASHIKA  Established

  • Team Yaashikaconducted its first event with 220 girls orphanage at Thane.

  • After gaining blessings and confidence from the local friends and supporters later on it was registered as a Trust before Charity Commissioner, Worli, Mumbai with name and title – “YAASHIKA  CHARITY  SOCIETY”.

  • YAASHIKA Founders approached the community to initiate youth activities.

 

2018:- Developed awareness for orphans and needy people.

  • Team Yaashika conducted started conducting birthday and other anniversaries functions in orphanages.

  • In the 2018 Yaashika founders started encouraging people to spend their children’s birthday parties in orphanages with small budgets.

  • The members of Yaashika started developing awareness in their friends and relatives to celebrate functions/parties with these needy children of Aashrams rather than spending a heavy amount in hotel parties.

  • Team YaashikaMumbai started giving training to orphanage girls (age of 17-19 ) for beauty salons courses at Free of cost and trained few girls so that they become self-sufficient.

  • Team YaashikaMumbai arranged one big event at Ambe Ashram Tal.-Wadha, Dist.-Palghar and donated 750 kg. grocery including clothes and essential commodities. 

 

 

2019:- Training for job oriented courses.

  • Conducted major donations events for blind people donated 1700 packets of Til-GudChikkis to 1700 blind people on the occasion of Makarsankranti.

  • Yaashika has started reaching Adivasi areas to fulfill their basic needs.

  • Conducted events for blood donation camps, started giving services to need people (other state’s patients' family members) who are sleeping outside the Tata Cancer Hospital and K.E.M. Hospital, Parel, Mumbai.

  • On the occasion of founding father’s birthday of Yaashika i.e. Adv. Prakash J. Purohit on 12-01-2019 Yaashika opened its second branch in #Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh to gives our services to remote areas of Hyderabad and it’s territory.

  • Like MumbaiYaashika Team the volunteers of Hyderabad known as Team Hyderabad also conducted major events throughout the year 2019.

 

2020:- Render emergency service to the nation.

  • Again in the year 2020 on the occasion of founding father’s birthday of Yaashika i.e. Adv. Prakash J. Purohit on 12-01-2020 Yaashikaopened its third Branch in Village- Dayalana Kala, Dist.-Pali, Rajasthan to gives our 365 days service of Free Tiffin Seva to needy senior citizens of village and others.

  • March 2020 as it was the Covid-19 (corona) Pandemic situation in India as well in the World. The Team Yaashika #Mumbai, #Hyderabad and #Rajasthan played a crucial role in the month of March & April -2020 by giving it’s services to the nation. The volunteers of Yaashika without thinking of their own health distributed door to door food packets to needy people those lost their job in the Pandemic lockdown period.

  • April 2020: during the Pandemic lockdown period Yaashika distributed Sweets, grocery, vegetable, water bottles, sanitizers, masks, and ready food packets to Mumbaikar and to our corona warriors (emergency services). In Mumbai after every alternate day, Yaashika distributed 1200 food packets near Tata Cancer & K.E.M. Hospitals. 

  • April 2020: 03 major food packets distribution events were conducted during the Pandemic lockdown period in Hyderabad.

  • April 2020: Team Rajasthan increased the number of free tiffins and added new beneficiaries to those who lost their daily wages.
